Helping Young People Realize Their Full Potential

Every child deserves the chance to dream big—and the support to make those dreams possible. United Way of Southeast Georgia partners with local agencies to create meaningful pathways for young people, from early childhood learning through college and career success. Together, we’re empowering the next generation to learn, grow, and achieve their full potential.

Empowering Students Through Literacy and Support

Strong literacy skills open doors. That’s why United Way invests in afterschool programs, reading initiatives, and other supports that build confident, capable learners.

We also work to ensure that students can focus on school by easing the stressors they may face at home. Through programs like Backpack Buddies and the distribution of essential items—including deodorant, blankets, and shampoo—we help meet basic needs so kids can show up ready to learn.

Because when young people feel supported, they thrive. And when they thrive, our whole community grows stronger.
