Addressing Urgent Needs Today for a Better Tomorrow

A resilient community is one that can prepare for challenges, respond quickly when crises occur, and recover with strength and dignity. United Way of Southeast Georgia helps ensure our region is ready for whatever comes next—whether it’s a family in crisis or a community facing disaster. Together, we mobilize resources, support, and action from the moment a crisis strikes through long-term recovery.

Emergency Response and Long-Term Recovery

When Hurricanes Debbie and Helene hit Southeast Georgia in 2024, United Way of Southeast Georgia was there. By securing grants and significant donations, we delivered critical support when it was needed most—providing rental assistance, emergency food, and essential home repairs for families affected by the storms.

Our work doesn’t stop when the immediate danger passes. We stay engaged throughout the recovery process, helping families rebuild, restoring stability, and strengthening systems so our community is even better prepared for the future.

Because when we respond together, we recover stronger—every time.
