Nonprofit organizations in Bulloch County have an opportunity to secure financial support through the United Way. The United Way of Southeast Georgia is now accepting Letters of Inquiry for its upcoming grant cycle, targeting initiatives that address critical community needs.

United Way of Southeast Georgia is opening the door for local nonprofits to secure funding aimed at tackling some of Bulloch County’s most pressing needs.

Eligible 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations serving Bulloch County are invited to submit Letters of Inquiry for the 2026 to 2027 Community Fund grant cycle. Letters of Inquiry are only required for programs that did not receive funding from United Way of Southeast Georgia during the 2025 to 2026 cycle.

According to United Way, proposed programs must focus on at least one priority area including:

  • health,
  • education,
  • financial stability,
  • or pathways to upward mobility.

These focus areas reflect ongoing efforts to improve quality of life and create long term opportunities across the community.

Letters of Inquiry are due by Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 4:59 p.m. Submissions should be one to two pages and include an overview of the organization and its mission, a clear explanation of the funding request and how the funds will be used, the community need being addressed, and details about the program’s target population, services, partnerships, and expected sources of revenue.

Organizations must also include a PDF copy of their IRS 501(c)3 determination letter and their most recently filed IRS Form 990.

Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full grant application and attend a required Orientation and Q and A Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 2 p.m. The meeting location will be announced at a later date.

Letters of Inquiry should be submitted via email to ccassedy@unitedwaysega.org.

United Way officials note that incomplete or late submissions will not be considered. Nonprofits with questions are encouraged to contact Carey Cassedy at the same email address.
